Had a look at the original routine and he's spot on. It's extremely arrogant to think that as a species we're so powerful we can destroy the planet. Maybe a lot of the things living on it, but new species will evolve and like Carlin says the only thing left to show we were here will be plastic. Which after 150m or so will compact back to oil which future species will use. Our rubbish dumps will be the future's oil fields.
